Degollado Teather
An Italian neoclassic style building, originally called the Teatro Alarcon after the Mexican playwright Juan de Alarcon, upon the death of General Santos Degollado, governor of Jalisco, the theater’s name was changed to honor him. The theater opened in 1866 with a performance of the opera Lucia di Lammermoor starring Angela Peralta. Cabañas Cultural Institute
This majestic UNESCO precinct, was built in 1805; it was opened in 1810 and finished in full in 1846. Its neoclassic style design was made by the Architect Manuel Tolsá. A must for any visitor! This modern zoo was opened in 1988. It is much more than just an animal exhibition facility. Agua Azul Park
Built on the main source of water within the city in 1946 this park has been an attraction for visitors who want to relax and enjoy nature within the city. The nursery area with half shadow zones provided by the same trees of the park, plants propagation, natural butterflies hosting, is performed in this place. Near extinction plants can be admired here like Vanilla and other national orchids.
Army and Air Force Museum
Its original construction is in adobe without any ornaments, it was remodeled in the 1980s, to what today is – a beautiful fortress. This building was inaugurated by General Porfirio Diaz as President of Mexico in the year 1905 in Guadalajara travel guide.
